The Art of Lace Composition: Painting with Fabric

The extraordinary value of this piece lies in its unique, non-industrial creation process. The lace is not simply stitched onto the fabric; it is entirely composed and painted by hand using the finest French lace motifs:

An Artistic Curation: Every single floral motif is thoughtfully selected. I individually choose specific lace elements and discard others, acting like an artist composing a canvas, to design a perfectly balanced, organic layout that frames the décolleté and accentuates the bodice.
10 Hours of Meticulous Hand-Cutting & Applique: Once the visual design is composed, each motif is meticulously hand-cut along its original intricate contours. It requires 10 hours of absolute precision to hand-stitch these organic pieces onto the silk, creating a seamless, floating lace effect that cannot be replicated by any machine.

A Sculpted Scalloped Hemline

This same rigorous approach is applied to the fluid hemline. More than two metres of ivory lace are shaped, cut, and carefully embedded into the silk satin centimeter by centimeter. Instead of a straight, rigid trim, the hemline follows the natural curves and waves of the curated floral motifs, resulting in a gorgeous, custom-scalloped edge that sways beautifully with every movement.

Created exclusively in the Marianna Giordana Paris Atelier, each luxury slip dress is made to order to avoid overproduction and respect sustainable luxury.
